Those who get tested regularly can lead a life almost without corona measures.
The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson does not want to extend the corona lockdown in England. The restrictions expired on December 2 after four weeks, Downing Street announced on Saturday. The prime minister will announce this on Monday and present a three-stage plan for corona restrictions at regional level
Everyday life without restrictions
One part of the new strategy is the so-called “normal life passport” or “freedom pass”. As the “Telegraph” reports, people with two negative corona tests should be able to obtain such a passport in one week. This certificate is a document that can be stored on the cell phone.
Together with the vaccination program, the “freedom pass” should make everyday life possible without restrictions. For example, it would no longer be necessary to wear a mask and family reunions would once again be possible without restrictions.
Vaccinations before Christmas
According to a media report, the corona vaccine from the German biotech company BioNTech and the U.S. pharmaceutical company Pfizer could receive approval in Great Britain in the next few days. The British regulatory authorities are on the verge of starting an official evaluation of the drug, the “Telegraph” reported on Sunday, citing government circles.
The National Health Service (NHS) has been instructed to be ready for administration from December 1. The Ministry of Health in London did not comment on when the first vaccinations could be started. On Friday, the two companies had applied to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA will discuss whether to give the green light for the vaccine on December 10.
